Transloading
Capacity Chemical’s transloading services involve transferring goods or materials from one mode of transportation to another during the transportation process.
It typically occurs at company or contract transloading facilities or terminals where different modes of transportation, such as rail, truck, or ship, intersect. Transloading provides flexibility and efficiency by allowing the transfer of goods between various transportation modes without the need for complete unloading and reloading.
Capacity’s Plant 1 is located within 80 miles of the port of Oakland and has on site rail and truck facilities.
Transloading facilities act as intermediaries between different transportation modes, facilitating the transfer of goods from one mode to another. For example, goods may be transferred from railcars to trucks or from ships to railcars. Transloading enables seamless integration of various transportation modes, optimizing logistics and reducing costs.
